AmeriCorps members will serve in elementary and middle schools in Auburn. With CIS Site Coordinators, members will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the CIS model of integrated student supports in designated school sites. The member will coordinate with community partners and volunteers to marshal resources necessary to address the academic, social and emotional needs of students who are at risk of dropping out of school. Through the coordination of individual and group interventions as well as prevention activities the member is a key player in helping students stay in school and remain on track to graduate.
Part time, 5 Hours per day, paraeducator position to June 22, 2018. Will assist in the development and coordination of implementing targeted services before, during, or after school at Olympic Middle School. Will work directly with funding agency, Communities In Schools of Auburn, to implement specific Site Plans and collect and evaluate required data. Will act as a Communities In Schools of Auburn liaison to the community with volunteers, agencies, social services, and other targeted resources at the school site.
