Tutoring

Peer-to-Peer

Upper elementary and middle school students tutor kindergartners in reading at Terminal Park, Gildo Rey and Dick Scobee.  After school peer tutoring programs run four afternoons a week, offering older students a service learning opportunity while providing academic assistance to struggling kindergarten students.

One-on-One

Elementary and middle school students receive intensive help from our site coordinators and community volunteers. At Alpac, Terminal Park, Gildo Rey, Washington and Dick Scobee, volunteers work with 3rd grade students one day a week before school on reading skills. Volunteers help middle school students in various subjects at Cascade, Mt. Baker, Rainier and Olympic one day a week after school. Our site coordinators also conduct school day interventions to further address individual needs.
